Choosing An Osteopath

For your own peace of mind it is wise to make sure that the osteopath you choose is appropriately trained and qualified. In Britain all practising osteopaths must register with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). Registration can be checked through the GOsC website.

Being registered is a proof that the osteopath is professionally qualified to GOsC standards, fulfils the GOsC requirement to remain up to date through regular training (continuing professional development) and has full insurance indemnity.

Jerry has been registered with the GOsC since 2009 and has undertaken continuing professional development in a number of areas, including the management of neurological pain; sports injuries; problems experienced by singers and musicians; the health of babies and children, visceral techniques and cranio-sacral techniques.

Jerry also teaches osteopathy, has two academic degrees in anatomy, a postgraduate certificate in research methods and is currently studying for a professional doctorate.

Jerry is also a member of the British Osteopathic Association.
