|Due to COVID-19, I only offer remote appointments. These can be done over the phone or with a video system. I have been looking into this and I’m currently involved in training practitioners in the UK into remote consulting so it should work quite well.|
We can use phones, or a video system I have that provides good audio and video quality and that doesn’t require you to install anything: you would receive a link by email to click on. Alternatively we can use Skype (OK but not ideal due to quality), WhatsApp (a bit better than Skype perhaps), FaceTime or similar.
The NHS is working hard to fight the current pandemic and have limited capacity to manage non-COVID19 and non-urgent care. The goal is to provide you a system of support to discuss concerns you may have regarding symptoms osteopathy may be able to help with and what can be done about them.
– assess the problem,
– get some form of diagnosis,
– being able to triage if you need any investigations, and
– discuss and practise management options that you can do remotely (e.g. exercises and strategies)
Because of the current difficult financial situation and that the service is different from usual the fees are reduced (£40 for an initial appointment and £35 for a follow up). My professional insurance covers me for remote consultations and my regulator (General Osteopathic Council) supports this initiative.
I will be providing these services as long as social distancing is recommended (if it is a service valued by you I may continue offering this alongside usual appointments).
As usual you can book appointments online or over the phone (for the moment) on 01235 533487. Please when booking, let me know which means of contact you would prefer (telephone or video – for video you will receive a video link in the appointment confirmation email).
